Care & Warranty

All Troffle upholstery uses full grain leather. It's the most natural grade available, more pure than genuine leather, and a hallmark of quality craftsmanship. It develops a beautiful patina over time and with a little care will stay looking its best for years to come.

Full grain leather can stretch, scar, and scratch, but with a small amount of attention, keeping it in great condition becomes second nature.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading over time
  • Wipe down periodically with a clean, dry cloth
  • Avoid wax, polish, soaps, and oil-based leather products
  • For spills, blot gently with a damp soft white cloth and allow to air dry. Most spots will naturally sink into the leather and fade over time
  • Minor surface scratches can often be buffed out by rubbing gently with your finger. Give it a little time

Teak is a naturally oily, dense timber known for its durability and beauty. Our pieces are treated but not sealed or stained, allowing the natural character of the wood to come through.

General care

  • Wipe up spills promptly and avoid prolonged contact with heat or liquids
  • Take care when placing abrasive objects on timber surfaces
  • All timber will naturally change in appearance when exposed to direct or reflected sunlight. This is a normal and expected characteristic of natural wood

Preserving the colour

If you'd like to preserve the natural golden colour of your teak, we recommend Semco Cleartone Teak Sealer. It does not alter the colour or texture of the wood and can be reapplied seasonally for ongoing protection.

Outdoor use

Teak is well suited to outdoor use in covered or sheltered areas. In humid or wet conditions, mildew and dirt can accumulate. To clean, use a diluted vinegar and water solution. Apply Semco Cleartone Teak Sealer seasonally for ongoing protection against mildew and discolouration.

We recommend all teak furniture be kept undercover when used outdoors and not left exposed to direct rain or prolonged moisture.
